Reports indicate that Apple engaged in talks with several companies, including Meta, in March to explore integrating its models into devices. However, due to privacy issues, Apple decided against placing Meta's AI model on iPhones. The reports also suggest that partnering with the social network company would not significantly enhance Apple's image, as the Cupertino-based company has consistently criticized Meta's privacy practices.

Earlier this month, Apple launched its own suite of AI features, dubbed Apple Intelligence. Additionally, Apple announced a collaboration with OpenAI, allowing iPhone users to access ChatGPT through specific queries.

However, this partnership is not exclusive, as Apple expressed its willingness to integrate various AI models into its devices. At the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple confirmed its collaboration with Google to deploy Gemini.

While Meta may not be directly integrated into millions of devices, the company will rely on its own applications, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Messenger, which have billions of users worldwide. On Monday, the company rolled out the Meta AI chatbot widely to users in India, its largest global market.

Key Points:

- Apple discussed the possibility of integrating Meta's AI model into iPhones but abandoned the plan due to privacy concerns.

- Apple has launched its own AI feature suite and partnered with OpenAI to enable ChatGPT access on iPhones.

- Meta will promote its AI model among billions of users through its own applications rather than direct integration into devices.
