Motorola and Google Cloud have recently announced a new multi-year partnership, bringing Google's generative AI models to Motorola smartphones, including the brand-new series of Razr smartphones.
The Moto ai technology is built on Google Cloud Vertex AI, Gemini, and Imagen models, and has been deeply integrated into the native smartphone applications, offering users a more powerful smartphone experience, including task completion, relevant suggestions and reminders, summarization, and recall of information.
Moto ai aims to transform the smartphone experience by becoming a context-aware, personalized, collaborative, and comprehensive ecosystem.
"Moto ai allows users to intuitively create content, personalize their devices, get the information they need, and accomplish more tasks in less time—all thanks to Google's state-of-the-art AI technology," said Dan Dri, Vice President of AI, Ecosystems, and Internet Services at Motorola.
Moto ai is already present in the devices today and can be found in aspects such as the camera, battery, display, and device performance. Key features include:
- Magic Canvas: Create images from your imagination, turning descriptions into graphics that can be used for messages, social media, wallpapers, etc.
- Style Sync: Synchronize your phone's appearance to your personal style by creating wallpapers and themes that match your outfits.
Moto ai learns from user interactions and will add new features over time, such as prioritized summaries of personal communications, transcription and summarization of conversations, and remembering important information to recall when needed.
These new phones will be available starting today in certain countries in Latin America and Europe, with pre-orders in North America, India, and the Asia-Pacific region coming in the next few weeks.
