Meta has announced the launch of an AI studio tool, enabling creators to generate their own AI versions. The social media giant stated that it will begin testing these user-created chatbots on its social media platform Instagram. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared on his broadcast channel that the testing will start in the United States and then expand to other regions. It is anticipated that user-created chatbots will assist creators in tasks such as answering questions from fans.

User-created chatbots to assist creators

According to the company, creators may not have enough time to answer every fan's question but still want to maintain interaction with them. Chatbots are expected to be useful in such scenarios. Zuckerberg revealed that chatbots will be clearly marked as AI to ensure people are aware. They will appear in messages, according to the company. Zuckerberg said, "We are launching an early test of the AI studio in the US, so over the next few weeks, you might see AI from creators you like and interest-based AI on Instagram." He added, "This is still in its early stages, the first beta version of these AIs, so we will continue to improve them and make them available to more people soon."

Meta plans to roll out the product fully in the coming months

Meta still plans to fully launch this product in August. However, for now, the company will start with 50 creators and a small group of users, then expand to everyone. Zuckerberg acknowledged that chatbots may not be perfect now, but they will continue to evolve as more improvements are discovered.

Additionally, Meta will also allow people to create AI characters that may not necessarily represent themselves.
