The UK Parliament's Science, Innovation and Technology Committee has stated that the UK should enact new legislation to regulate artificial intelligence, or risk falling behind the EU and the US in setting AI regulatory standards. Members of Parliament are calling on the UK government to draft an AI bill, or else it will lag behind other jurisdictions in AI regulation. The MPs hope that the AI Safety Summit scheduled for November should include as many countries as possible.
