Getty Images has announced a significant initiative by providing AI developers with a training dataset that includes 3750 high-quality photos across 15 categories, aimed at supporting the development of AI applications. These photos are now available on the Hugging Face platform, and users can access them for free after agreeing to the terms of service and providing their contact information. This move is intended to attract businesses and developers while promoting their paid licensing services. Getty Images claims to have over 572 million photos, with more than 200 million available for commercial use.

Getty Images has partnered with NVIDIA to launch an upgraded AI image generation tool, which boosts the speed to generate 4 images in just 6 seconds, doubling the speed of the previous model. The new model employs the NVIDIA Edify architecture, significantly improving output quality, supporting longer instruction inputs, enhancing image upscaling, and allowing model fine-tuning. The tool introduces an AI image editing feature, enabling users to modify generated AI images and pre-shot creative images, including the addition or alteration of elements and canvas expansion. This feature is now live on iStock and will soon be available on other platforms.
