Mistral has recently announced a content agreement with Agence France-Presse (AFP) aimed at improving the answer accuracy of its chatbot product, Le Chat. This collaboration marks Mistral's first agreement with a media organization, signifying its commitment to showcase diverse products to users beyond large language models. Under the agreement, Le Chat will have access to approximately 2,300 news articles published daily by AFP, covering six languages: Arabic, English, French, and German.

French AI newcomer Mistral AI recently launched a new content moderation API service, highlighting its ambition in the global AI field and demonstrating deep thought on AI safety governance. This moderation system, built on the Ministral8B model, can accurately identify nine categories of potentially harmful content, including sexual content, hate speech, violence, dangerous activities, and personal identity information. Notably, the API supports 11 major languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, and more.
