Beijing Mianbi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. recently announced the completion of a new financing round of hundreds of millions of RMB. This round was jointly led by Loongson Venture Capital, Dinghui Baifu, Zhongguancun Science City Fund, and Sequoia Capital. The Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund and Qiming Venture Partners participated as co-investors, with Wanjia Capital acting as the exclusive financial advisor. Mianbi Intelligence plans to use this funding to accelerate the commercialization of terminal-side AI large models, aiming to provide high-performance, low-energy consumption, and faster large model services under the same parameters to deeply serve the industry and create tangible value for users.

In recent years, large language models represented by ChatGPT have sparked a new wave in the AI field. These powerful language models can not only understand human instructions but also formulate plans, explore environments, and utilize tools to solve complex tasks, demonstrating immense potential in areas such as robotics, personal assistants, and process automation. However, most existing AI entity systems are passive, requiring explicit human instructions to perform tasks. To schedule a meeting, one still has to manually input the time, location, and even list out all the participants, which is quite cumbersome.

On October 30, Mianbi Intelligence announced a strategic partnership with Baidu Intelligent Cloud, aiming to jointly develop collaborative solutions for large models. According to the partnership agreement, the two parties will leverage Baidu Intelligent Cloud's Qianfan Large Model Platform, Wenxin series large models, as well as Mianbi's MiniCPM series edge large models and cutting-edge technology accumulation across multiple terminals and different scenarios, to collaboratively develop and promote edge-cloud collaborative technology solutions that further enhance the performance of large models in practical applications such as embodied intelligence, smart terminals, and edge computing, while reducing the inference costs of large models.

MianBi Intelligence has recently launched MiniCPM 3.0, a high-performance AI model that operates on devices with just 2GB of memory, heralding a new era of edge AI experience. The MiniCPM 3.0 model features 4 billion parameters and outperforms GPT-3.5, providing AI services on mobile devices comparable to those of GPT-3.5. This allows users to enjoy fast, secure, and feature-rich local AI services without relying on cloud processing, ensuring a smoother and more private intelligent interaction experience.
