As reported by foreign media, design giant Canva has clearly defined the scope of content that its AI tool can and cannot generate.
Canva's CEO Melanie Perkins stated during an interview that Canva's AI feature, named Magic Media, should not be used with medical or political terminology, as such content could be harmful or inappropriate.
Canva's software can be used to create everything from party invitation cards to social media content and presentation templates. For instance, if the tool is prompted to create an image for a political candidate, it will simply inform the user, "You can't do that."
Of course, users can still create designs with political or health-related content on the platform themselves. According to the terms of its AI products, Canva also prohibits the use of AI to generate contracts, legal or financial advice, spam, or adult content.
Key Points:
- 📛 Canva's AI feature Magic Media should not be used with medical or political terminology, as such content could be harmful or inappropriate.
- 🚫 Canva does not allow the use of AI to generate contracts, legal or financial advice, spam, or adult content.
- 💡 Canva will not train AI without the creator's permission, and users can always opt out if they wish to have their designs used for AI training.
