Today, ByteDance's Volcano Engine announced that the Doubao Large Model will release a video generation model on September 24th, bringing more capabilities upgrades to the model family.
It is understood that the Doubao Large Model was officially launched at the Volcano Engine Power Conference on May 15, 2024.
The Doubao Large Model offers multiple versions, including Professional and Lite, to meet different scenario needs. The Professional version supports 128K long text processing, possesses strong understanding, generation, and logical synthesis capabilities, and is suitable for scenarios such as question answering, summarization, creation, and classification. The Lite version offers lower token costs and latency, providing businesses with flexible and economical model choices.
Additionally, the Doubao Large Model covers various models such as role-playing, voice synthesis, voice cloning, speech recognition, text-to-image, and Function call, to meet diverse business needs.
In terms of security, the Doubao Large Model was the first to pass the security filing for generative AI services, ensuring compliance of the model's qualifications, and constructing a trusted execution environment through secure sandbox technology, safeguarding data security in multiple dimensions.
The pricing strategy for the Doubao Large Model is significantly lower than industry prices. Taking the pro-32k version as an example, its model inference input price is only 0.0008 yuan/thousand tokens, while the pricing for similar models on the market is generally 0.12 yuan/thousand tokens.
As of July 2024, the daily token usage of the Doubao Large Model has exceeded 500 billion, with the average daily token usage of enterprise customers increasing 22 times since the model's release.
