Apple has recently released the first developer beta of iOS 18.2, introducing several new Apple Intelligence features. These features include generating emojis with Genmoji, creating images with Image Playground, enhanced AI-driven writing capabilities, integration with ChatGPT, and Visual Intelligence for searching using the camera on the iPhone 16.
Apple first unveiled its planned Apple Intelligence features at WWDC 2024 in June, but at the time, it announced that upgrades would be rolled out in stages. One of the most impressive planned features was to enable Siri to understand what's happening on the iPhone screen and act upon your requests, but even in iOS 18.2, this feature remains unimplemented.
Apple has also released the first developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.2, which includes new Apple Intelligence tools. Notably, Genmoji is not included in this beta.
Apple's Apple Intelligence features aim to provide users with a smarter, more personalized experience. By opening these features to developers, Apple hopes to gather more feedback and suggestions to further refine and perfect these functionalities.
