At the 2024 Xpeng AI Tech Day event, Xpeng Motors introduced its latest AI robot, named Iron. This robot has garnered widespread attention for its advanced technology and human-like structural design. Standing at 178cm tall and weighing 70kg, Iron possesses 62 active degrees of freedom, enabling it to perform a variety of tasks with agility.
Iron is equipped with the Xpeng AI HawkEye Vision System, which integrates the Xpeng AI end-to-end large model and reinforcement learning technology, granting the robot the ability to walk autonomously and naturally. Notably, Iron's hands are exquisitely designed, featuring 15 movable degrees of freedom and tactile feedback, with dimensions similar to human hands. This technology was demonstrated in August of this year.
Additionally, the Xpeng AI robot Iron is fitted with the Xpeng Tianji AIOS system, enabling smooth and free-flowing conversational exchanges. According to IT Home, from the launch event, Iron has already begun working in Xpeng Motors' factory, participating in the assembly of some components for the upcoming Xpeng P7+ car.
