According to the AI media outlet "Digital Life Kazik," WeChat Official Accounts have quietly launched a new feature—AI Voice Cloning, aimed at enhancing the reading experience for users.
It is reported that this update is reflected in version 2.29.1 of the Official Account, allowing users to read articles in their own voice, greatly enhancing the personalization of content. Users can find the "Reading Voice" option in the backend settings to create a custom voice.
The process of creating a voice is relatively simple; users just need to read a piece of text aloud, and the system will quickly clone the voice. To ensure security, WeChat uses real-time recording instead of allowing users to upload arbitrary audio files.
After completing the voice cloning, users can listen to a sample of their own voice, and this new feature will bring a fresh presentation style to newly published articles.
It is worth noting that this feature is not yet fully rolled out; AIbase has not seen this feature on the Subscription Account Assistant APP. However, users can check for themselves in the APP. Here’s how:
First, update the Subscription Account Assistant to the latest version 2.29.1; then, go to My - Settings; if users have access to this feature, they will see a new option for "Reading Voice," where they can choose to create a new reading voice; if not created, the system will default to the standard voice.
