During the Baidu AI Open Day event held today, Wang Ying, Baidu's Vice President and head of the Document and Cloud Storage departments, revealed the latest advancements in the application of AI technology in Baidu Wenku (Baidu Library). It was reported that the monthly active users of Baidu Wenku's AI features have exceeded 90 million, with daily active users increasing by 230% year-on-year, and the number of paying users surpassing 40 million, demonstrating the platform's strong appeal in the application of AI features.
In the past year, Baidu Wenku has added over 100 AI features, including various innovative tools to meet users' diverse needs in document processing, learning, and creation. For example, the Smart PPT feature can automatically generate a PPT from a single sentence and supports one-click beautification of draft PPTs, significantly simplifying the presentation creation process. The AI Comprehensive Search feature not only provides information but also organizes materials from across the internet into timelines, mind maps, and comparison tables, helping users process and understand information more efficiently. The Smart Audio Picture Book allows parents to customize exclusive audio picture books for their children, enhancing the personalization and interactivity of educational content.
Additionally, Baidu Wenku announced the official public testing of its "Free Canvas" feature. Users can simply drag and drop files from their cloud storage, local files, and public domain materials (such as Word, TXT, PDF, audio, and video files) into the canvas using a straightforward "drag + circle" operation, and then utilize AI for intelligent creation. Unlike traditional single-line operations, the "Free Canvas" supports parallel processing of multiple tasks, making the creative process more efficient and convenient, further enhancing the user experience.
