OPPO today announced that its latest foldable smartphone, the Find N5, will be officially launched on February 20 at 19:00. This phone is claimed to be the world's thinnest foldable device, with a thickness of only about 4mm when unfolded and less than 9.2mm when folded.
In addition to its ultra-slim design, the Find N5 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and features a 3D-printed titanium alloy hinge, making it the only foldable flagship phone in the world to support full-level waterproofing with IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 ratings.
In terms of smart features, the Find N5 has officially integrated DeepSeek-R1, an open-source inference model released by the Chinese AI company DeepSeek on January 20, 2025. DeepSeek-R1 achieves performance comparable to the official version of OpenAI's GPT-3 at a very low cost and is regarded as a major dark horse in the large model industry.
With the integration of DeepSeek-R1, users of the Find N5 will be able to enjoy a more intelligent and user-friendly interaction experience. Users can control the device with simple voice commands through the Xiaobu voice assistant, which also supports exclusive online searches and local file exports.
