Recently, WeChat's innovative measures in its search functionality have attracted widespread attention. According to the latest news, WeChat Search has begun a grayscale test incorporating the DeepSeek R1 model to provide users with a more intelligent AI search experience.
A Tencent representative confirmed that WeChat Search, building on the enhanced AI search capabilities of the mixed-model, has officially introduced the DeepSeek R1 model for testing. Users participating in the grayscale test will be able to use the full version of DeepSeek-R1 for free, enjoying a more diverse search service.
On the WeChat search page, users eligible for the grayscale test will see a "Deep Thinking" option provided by DeepSeek-R1. The addition of this option marks another significant breakthrough for WeChat in search technology.
The self-introduction of WeChat AI Search indicates that this feature is developed based on the Deep Thinking model of DeepSeek, aiming to connect content from official WeChat accounts and other authoritative internet information, helping users quickly acquire the knowledge and services they need. WeChat also expressed gratitude to the DeepSeek company and the DeepSeek open-source community in its open-source statement, recognizing their contributions to the open-source of large models and related research.
It is worth noting that, in addition to WeChat Search, several Tencent products are also exploring the integration of the DeepSeek model. For example, Tencent Cloud AI Code Assistant and Tencent Yuanbao are considering incorporating DeepSeek's functionalities. Among them, Tencent Yuanbao supports online searches and integrates information sources from official WeChat accounts, video accounts, and other Tencent ecosystem resources, providing users with more stable, real-time, comprehensive, and accurate answers.
Tencent emphasized that the AI search function only involves public information from official accounts and other online sources when integrating information, and will not use users' personal information and privacy data. This statement aims to ensure that while users enjoy intelligent search services, their personal privacy is fully protected.
