On February 27th, Baidu Netcom Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Baidu") and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CATL") signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian Province. The agreement aims to foster in-depth collaboration in the two core areas of autonomous driving and digital intelligence, jointly promoting the popularization of autonomous driving travel services and the application of AI technology in the industrial sector.
Baidu's Founder, Chairman and CEO, Robin Li, and CATL's Chairman and CEO, Zeng Yuqun, attended and witnessed this significant event. Baidu Vice President, Shi Qinghua, and CATL's Vice President of Domestic Passenger Vehicle Product Line, Liu Changyan, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
According to the agreement, both parties will leverage their respective strengths to actively explore cooperation opportunities in the field of autonomous driving. CATL will provide resources such as power batteries, battery swapping products and services, and skateboard chassis technology to support the development and application of autonomous vehicle products. Both parties will also work together to create competitive autonomous vehicle products and explore innovative business models to provide users with more convenient and high-quality travel services.
Furthermore, Baidu will leverage its fully independent and controllable AI capabilities, providing comprehensive support for CATL's digital intelligence construction from chips and platforms to application layers. Through this collaboration, both parties will inject new impetus into the green transformation, jointly building a smart energy future, and promoting the deep integration and development of autonomous driving and digital intelligence technologies.
