ByteDance recently launched a "Deep Thinking" reasoning mode for its AI assistant, Doubao. This innovative feature aims to revolutionize user interaction in scenarios such as Q&A, search, writing, and reading.

This mode displays the complete logical chain of the AI's problem-solving process, including self-questioning, hypothesis verification, and error correction, allowing users to gain a deeper understanding of the AI's thought process. This visualized thinking not only enhances user trust in AI but also makes AI feedback more transparent and explainable.

This technology is based on the Doubao 1.5 base model and benefits from the technological breakthrough of the Doubao-1.5-pro-AS1-Preview deep reasoning model. Through RL algorithms and engineering optimization, it fully leverages the computing power advantage of Test Time Scaling. The Deep Thinking mode also incorporates the Chain of Thought (COT) concept, training the model to output intermediate steps to simulate human thinking, enhancing the AI's intelligence and human-like qualities.
