This innovative model not only encompasses a comprehensive knowledge system covering common and complex pediatric diseases but also possesses strong clinical reasoning capabilities, aiming to provide scientific and personalized treatment plans for young patients.

"Futang Baichuan" stands out for its pioneering "evidence-based model" in pediatrics. Designed to emulate expert pediatricians, this model integrates the best medical evidence to guide diagnosis and treatment. To effectively alleviate the pressure on primary-level hospitals in pediatric medical services, Baichuan Intelligent Technology has also launched two versions of the application – the "AI Pediatrician" expert version and the primary care version. These applications will be integrated with four national regional medical centers managed by Beijing Children's Hospital. Leveraging the power of medical consortia, they will cover community hospitals in Haidian District and the Economic and Technological Development Area of Beijing, as well as over 150 county-level hospitals in Hebei Province, striving to promote the practical application of artificial intelligence in primary-level pediatric healthcare.

Wang Xiaochuan, founder and CEO of Baichuan Intelligent Technology, stated that their developed medical-enhanced general large language model has been built using a massive dataset of trillions of tokens of professional medical data. This data encompasses Chinese and English medical papers, guidelines, and textbooks. Furthermore, the model integrates the clinical experience of over 300 renowned pediatric experts from Beijing Children's Hospital and high-quality, anonymized patient medical records. Based on this, the model has been enhanced in evidence-based reasoning, inference, memory, dialogue, and multimodality, enabling it to conduct multi-round consultations autonomously and patiently answer questions when communicating with parents.

More importantly, to ensure accurate retrieval of relevant literature, Baichuan Intelligent Technology has also established a highly credible evidence-based medicine knowledge base, containing over 40,000 Chinese and English guidelines and expert consensus, over 38 million research papers, and nearly 170,000 drug inserts. This knowledge base provides doctors with extensive reference materials, making the "Futang Baichuan" model more accurate and effective in practical applications.
