Recently, Douyin (TikTok's Chinese counterpart) announced the launch of a new "Debunking Card" feature to combat misinformation. This initiative aims to more efficiently identify and address false information, comprehensively revealing its origins, spread, and the truth to users.

Leveraging its powerful interconnected large language model capabilities, the "Debunking Card" analyzes suspected rumors on the platform by searching, computing, and analyzing information from multiple sources. Combined with human review, the feature determines whether information is "True," "Rumor," or "Uncertain" (pending conclusion), and takes appropriate action.

When users search for information on Douyin, the results are displayed as a "Debunking Card." This card clearly labels information as "Rumor" or "Uncertain," providing details on its "Spread Origin," "Reasons for Spread," "Facts," and a "Summary" to help users understand the rumor's context.

Furthermore, the "Debunking Card" provides links to authoritative media debunkings, statements from involved parties, and other relevant information, enhancing transparency and credibility. Douyin states that the combination of human review and AI significantly improves the platform's efficiency and coverage in handling suspected rumors.

This innovative feature allows users to comprehensively understand the background and spread of rumors and questionable information, empowering them to make informed judgments. Users can easily access relevant information via the Douyin search bar or by clicking on the "Uncertain" prompt at the bottom of the page.
