This change comes just a month after the last adjustment, indicating that vivo's exploration of its AI strategy is ongoing.
In this reorganization, vivo abolished its original AI Department 1 and AI Department 2, replacing them with a new AI Product Department, AI Technology Development Department 1, and AI Technology Development Department 2. Each newly established department has a clear division of responsibilities to better adapt to market demands and technological advancements.
The main task of the AI Product Department is to conduct cognitive and strategic planning, be responsible for the implementation and iterative operation of AI-related products, and focus on user experience, usage data, user satisfaction, and product market positioning. The department is headed by Guan Yanbing, former general manager of the Internet Product Platform Department, further strengthening the professionalism of the product direction.
Meanwhile, AI Technology Development Department 1 will focus on the research and development and optimization of AI model algorithms, ensuring the performance and controllable resource costs of the algorithms. AI Technology Development Department 2 will be responsible for the engineering implementation and technical architecture construction of algorithms, striving to improve the overall efficiency and stability of the engineering. The departments are headed by Zhang Fei (Department 1) and Hao Xiong (Department 2) respectively.
