As AI technology continues to advance rapidly, the acquisition and use of training data have become increasingly significant. However, this has also led to issues of misuse. In response, the new tool Nightshade has emerged to help creators protect their works from unauthorized training by AI models. Nightshade can make imperceptible modifications to digital artworks, causing confusion when used for training, thereby compelling AI companies to respect creators' rights. Currently, there is a dispute between creators and AI companies over copyright issues, and the regulations are incomplete. Adobe plans to use tags to indicate the content owner and whether the content is AI-generated, in an effort to address copyright disputes. Nightshade may become the last line of defense for protecting creators from the harm of web crawlers.
