Microsoft Corporation has announced that to address the substantial content moderation needs of the Xbox gaming platform, the company is utilizing artificial intelligence tools to expedite the moderation process. These systems are capable of automatically flagging potentially problematic content for human review. Microsoft has adopted moderation tools named Community Sift and a visual language model called Turing Bletchley v3, which help filter out content requiring human review by automatically scanning it. Microsoft reports that these new tools automatically process billions of player interaction messages daily, including over 36 million player reports, and also scan hundreds of millions of user-generated image contents. Usage reports indicate that these AI tools significantly enhance Microsoft's efficiency in proactively identifying rule-breaking content. Experts believe that AI technology will enable gaming platforms to more effectively moderate vast amounts of user-generated content, thereby maintaining a healthy gaming environment.
