AI-RAN Alliance Established, Qualcomm Releases Snapdragon X80 Modem
The AI-RAN Alliance has been established to integrate artificial intelligence with wireless communication technology. Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon X80 flagship 5G modem, enhancing data transmission speeds and coverage. There are three working groups focused on technological research: AI for RAN, AI and RAN, and AI on RAN. Qualcomm is providing samples of the X80 5G modem to partners, with commercial devices expected to launch in the second half of 2024.
