LingoWhale-8B is an open-source large-scale bilingual (Chinese-English) pre-trained language model with strong natural language understanding and generation capabilities. Trained on massive high-quality Chinese and English data, it can comprehend long texts and engage in multi-turn interactions. Based on the Transformer architecture, it boasts 8 billion parameters. LingoWhale-8B has achieved leading results on multiple public benchmark tests for both Chinese and English. Fully open for academic research, LingoWhale-8B is also freely available for commercial use by individuals and developers. Its wide range of applications includes chatbots, question answering systems, and text generation.
