The tool employs a two-stage approach: the first stage converts the image to a 'uniform lighting' appearance, while the second stage generates lighting effects based on user doodles. This breakdown simplifies the learning process, avoiding the external constraints (like light transport consistency) that a single-stage approach might require. LuminaBrush constructs paired data to train the final interactive lighting sketch model by extracting 'uniform lighting' appearances from high-quality field images. Additionally, the tool can independently use the 'uniform lighting stage' to 'de-light' images, providing diverse visual effects.
