Midjourney is now offering free trials again! Under the dual pressure of Flux and Ideogram 2.0, the notoriously stingy Midjourney has finally loosened its grip.
The official website has opened its web version to everyone and introduced a free trial plan. All users can generate 25 images for free every day.
This means that both new and old users can now generate images directly on the web interface without needing to use Discord. It seems Midjourney is really feeling the pressure.
A week ago, in response to the fierce competition from Flux, Midjourney launched a new web editor, integrating multiple image operations into a unified interface. Whether it's partial redrawing, image scaling, or prompt editing, you can do it all on one page.
If you're someone who struggles with making choices and doesn't know what to draw, don't worry! The exploration interface is your source of inspiration. Find an image you like, click on it, and you can "copy the cat and draw the tiger".
AIbase selected an image of a sculpture of a man here. Clicking into it, you can see the "DNA" of the image—its prompts. There are also three magical buttons in the bottom right corner, allowing you to choose to use the image, style, or directly apply the prompts. It's truly the art of "copy and paste"!
After clicking the prompt option, the prompts obediently move to the top box. You just need to press Enter lightly to generate a new image. Still not personalized enough? Click the settings button next to the input box to adjust parameters such as scale, stylization level, and model, to tailor the image to your liking.
AIbase quickly obtained 4 images. You can choose the most satisfying one and either enlarge it or redraw the details—it's incredibly satisfying!
What's even more impressive is that the Midjourney web version now supports image blending. Select two images, click lightly, and you can get a brand new blended image.
AIbase combined a previously generated leopard image with a monkey king image and ended up with a "monkey leopard king"! This operation really takes "species hybridization" to a new level!
