At the recent IFA2024 exhibition, Intel unveiled its brand-new Lunar Lake processor series. According to Intel's plans, by the end of 2025, they aim to ship 100 million AI PCs. With the introduction of the Lunar Lake processors, this goal appears to be gradually approaching.
Data shows that in the second quarter of 2024, the shipment of AI PCs equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors achieved an astonishing sequential growth, more than doubling, with shipments exceeding 15 million units since December 2023.
Canalys forecasts indicate that the share of AI PCs in the Windows PC market will significantly increase, jumping from less than 10% in 2024 to 30% in 2025, and potentially reaching 50% by 2026.
The launch of the Lunar Lake chips is not just a hardware update. Intel has collaborated with 150 independent software vendors (ISVs) to develop over 350 AI features, further enhancing the AI PC ecosystem.
This means that users will experience a richer set of features and services when using these new PCs. Particularly, the Lunar Lake chips meet Microsoft's Copilot+ PC requirements, gaining favor with 20 OEM partners, with over 80 products featuring these new PCs, placing Intel in a favorable position in the competitive market.
