Vienna-based AI governance and compliance solutions provider Daiki GmbH announced today the completion of a €1.5 million seed round financing. This funding will support the company's market expansion and product development in Europe, marking a significant step forward in Daiki's efforts to promote responsible AI deployment among European enterprises.
Daiki offers SaaS compliance solutions tailored to the EU AI Act and ISO standards, including ISO13485 certification for medical device manufacturers. Products crafted by a multidisciplinary expert team include integrated document and quality management systems (eQMS), AI development process optimization tools, and AI collaboration platforms for large-scale AI implementation.
Currently, AI development involves complex legal, ethical, and technical issues, posing management challenges for most organizations, not only slowing down the innovation process but also hindering the full potential of AI. Daiki's SaaS platform is designed to address these challenges, guiding businesses to effectively implement AI, saving them high consulting fees, and allowing them to focus on the actual outcomes of AI applications.
This round of financing was led by Humanitas GmbH, an investment vehicle of Tarek Sherif, co-founder of Medidata Solutions and Chairman of the Board of Dassault Systemes' Life Sciences division. After 18 months of independent operations, this funding will accelerate Daiki's product development, including the launch of new AI model registration features, expand the team, and strengthen its market presence in Europe.
Daiki primarily serves clients in the medical technology, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors, focusing on the DACH region, the UK, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia. Additionally, the company provides services to various industries that need to comply with the EU AI Act. Operating on a SaaS subscription model, Daiki also offers preferential pricing for research institutions, NGOs, and public sector organizations. Notable clients include the University Hospital Basel and Seco Tools.
The company is led by CEO Kevin Michael Gibney, an international sales and marketing executive with extensive experience in high-tech SaaS startups. Daiki also boasts an experienced advisory board, with members covering experts in AI governance, philosophy, user experience design, and life science innovation.
