According to market rumors, SenseTime is undergoing organizational restructuring and has implemented layoffs, focusing on retaining two key businesses related to the daily new large-scale models and large-scale installations, including security, autonomous driving, and healthcare. The compensation plan offered is N+1.

SenseTime emphasized that the company is focusing on key business areas of "large installations-large models-applications" and strategic growth sectors. Both social and campus recruitment are proceeding normally, with overall business development being robust.

Recently, Xu Li, Chairman and CEO of SenseTime, issued an internal letter, first mentioning the company's newly established "large installations-large models-applications" trinity strategy. He also revealed plans to build a more centralized and efficient organizational structure around this strategy and core resources, accelerating the process of making the organization and management more agile.

Xu Li also explained his understanding of traditional AI 1.0 and generative large-scale model AI 2.0, emphasizing the importance of reducing the production and usage costs of large models.

The 2024 semi-annual report shows that SenseTime's revenue for the first half of the year was 1.74 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.4%; the net loss attributable to the parent company was 2.477 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 21.2%; and generative AI revenue was 1.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 255.7%, accounting for 60.4% of total revenue.
