Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently announced the launch of the "Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance" (GenAI Partner Innovation Alliance), aimed at expanding the influence of its Generative AI Innovation Center (GenAIIC) program through system integrators (SIs) and consulting firms. The program, initiated in June 2023, is designed to help customers connect with AWS's AI and machine learning scientists and strategic experts to envision, identify, and develop generative AI solutions.

To achieve this goal, the Partner Innovation Alliance will provide customers with a global network of system integrators and consulting firms, all of which possess extensive expertise in relevant fields. The initial phase of the alliance involves nine global partners, offering industry- and region-specific skills and increasing resources to support customers in proof-of-concept and production implementations.

The nine partners involved in this collaboration include Booz Allen Hamilton, Crayon, Escala24x7, Megazone Cloud, NCS Group, Quanitphi, and Rackspace. Additionally, Deloitte and Caylent are participating as initial system integrators in the alliance.

Sri Elaprolu, the global head of AWS's Generative AI Innovation Center, stated, "We focus on developing end-to-end solutions and customizing foundational models when necessary to meet specific needs, while always prioritizing security and scalability." He further noted, "This customer-centric approach has played a crucial role in driving the success of the Generative AI Innovation Center. Now, with an expanding network of partners, we can help more customers leverage generative AI to drive innovation, enhance productivity, and gain competitive advantages."

Sam Liew, CEO of NCS's Government Strategic Business Group, commented that the partner alliance will enable the service provider to combine its experience in the Asia-Pacific region with AWS's generative AI services and its proven innovation approach. "Through our NCS Public Interest Generative AI Center, we will collaborate with AWS to help more public sector organizations smoothly transition to generative AI, unlock its potential, and tailor solutions that align with local languages, cultures, and business environments," he added.

It is worth noting that AWS also launched a generative AI spotlight program in the Asia-Pacific and Japan regions in June 2023, aimed at supporting startups building generative AI applications, particularly those in the seed stage.
