On December 16, ZhiYuan Robotics announced the official launch of mass production of general-purpose robots, marking the company's transition from a startup phase to industrialization. Since its establishment in February 2022 in the Shanghai Lingang New Area, ZhiYuan Robotics has rapidly grown and released its first humanoid robot, "Expedition A1." This year, the company plans to achieve large-scale robot production by 2024 and has built Shanghai's first humanoid robot mass production factory in Lingang Fengxian.
Founder Peng Zhihui expressed on social media: "Two years honing a sword, from inspiration to blueprint, from prototype to mass production, ZhiYuan Robotics has finally crossed the startup chasm, aiming for the stars and the sea, and continues to forge ahead." According to ZhiYuan Robotics, by the end of December, the factory in Lingang Fengxian will have produced over 900 robots, including bipedal and wheeled robots, with bipedal robots accounting for more than 50%.

Notably, ZhiYuan Robotics' shipment volume has exceeded the company's previous expectations, initially planning to ship about 300 units in 2024, but actual orders have surpassed 300 units, indicating strong market demand for its products. The company stated that the shipped robots are mainly used in interactive and flexible manufacturing scenarios, with plans to expand into more industry applications, including special scenarios.
In addition, ZhiYuan Robotics has made technological breakthroughs by launching several general-purpose atomic skill models, including pose estimation, grasping, and force control, which have been successfully applied in multiple real-world scenarios. The company is accelerating the development of new products and expects to release five new commercial models in 2024, including the "Expedition A2" series and the "Lingxi X1" series.
