2025 has been a year of exciting breakthroughs in China's humanoid robot sector. On March 11th, Zhiyuan Robotics officially launched its bipedal intelligent interactive humanoid robot, Lingxi X2, capable of riding scooters, balance bikes, bicycles, and even sewing needles onto grapes. Furthermore, at the 2025 Embodied Intelligence Robot Development Conference, Wang Tianyou, Vice President of Tianjin University, stated that the global humanoid robot market is projected to experience an annual growth rate exceeding 30% over the next five years. By 2030, China's humanoid robot market is expected to approach a trillion yuan (approximately $140 billion USD) in scale.

Data from Qichacha shows that there are currently 1021 existing humanoid robot-related patents in China. Looking at application years, the application heat for related patents has surged in recent years, with a rapid increase of 276.47% and 202.34% in 2023 and 2024 respectively, resulting in 128 and 387 patent applications. As of March 10th, 25 humanoid robot-related patent applications have already been filed this year.

According to Qichacha data, in terms of patent type, humanoid robot-related patents are predominantly invention patents, accounting for 61.61%. Utility model patents and design patents account for 29.09% and 9.30% respectively.
