Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, speaking at the launch event for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, announced that Xiaomi expects to invest over 24 billion RMB in R&D in 2024, and 30 billion RMB in 2025.
Of the over 30 billion RMB earmarked for R&D in 2025, approximately one-quarter will be allocated to AI and related businesses. Lei Jun also revealed that Xiaomi plans to invest a total of 105 billion RMB in R&D over the next five years.
