Turin, Italy – Reply has announced a new AI music competition and the return of its second annual AI Film Festival, driven by a commitment to fostering innovation and celebrating young people's engagement with new technologies. These international events aim to provide a platform for creative talent to showcase their abilities and push the boundaries of artistic creation through the use of artificial intelligence.

First, the AI music competition, developed in collaboration with Kappa FuturFestival, a renowned European electronic music festival, invites young artists to integrate AI into their music. The theme, "Experience the Beat," encourages participants to create a five-minute immersive musical performance combining music, visual arts, and audience interaction. A panel of judges comprising DJs, AI artists, and Reply's technical experts will evaluate entries based on creativity, integration of sound and visuals, and the potential for live performance. Finalists will showcase their creations live at the festival in Turin from July 4th to 6th, 2025.

Reply also announced the return of the second AI Film Festival, designed for directors and video creators interested in short film production. Participants can utilize AI technology throughout the filmmaking process, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to image and sound production, giving free rein to their imaginations. This year's theme, "Generating Emotion," encourages creators to convey genuine emotion using AI. Outstanding works will premiere at an event in Venice in September, competing for three main awards.

Two special awards have been added this year. The "Lexus Pioneer Award" will recognize the most innovative work in terms of technology, design, and forward-thinking, while the "Create for Good Award," established in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union, will be presented to the short film best reflecting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Filippo Rizzante, Reply's Chief Technology Officer, stated that these initiatives aim not only to promote young people's understanding of new technologies but also to showcase the synergy between human creativity and artificial intelligence, opening up a more inclusive creative space. Interested creative talents can submit their work through a dedicated platform until June 1st, 2025.
