Today, Tesla's "WE, ROBOT" launch event officially took place, with Elon Musk stunning the crowd as he arrived at the event driving a sleek two-door coupe featuring the iconic gull-wing doors that immediately captivated everyone's attention.
At the event, Musk unveiled that the Tesla Robotaxi showcased was named Cybercab, which innovatively dispenses with steering wheels and pedals. Priced affordably under $30,000, it is slated for production in 2026.
He anticipates that the operating cost per mile of the Cybercab will be reduced to approximately $0.1, significantly lower than the current transportation cost of about $1 per mile.
Musk emphasized that the Robotaxi equipped with FSD (Full Self-Driving) technology will be about 10 times safer than human driving. It not only dramatically enhances driving safety but also ensures that passengers enjoy a pleasant, enjoyable, and safe experience akin to using a smartphone while in the vehicle.
Additionally, Musk introduced a cargo vehicle called Robovan at the event. This model can accommodate up to 20 passengers and can be flexibly converted for cargo transport, featuring a futuristic design that is eye-catching.
Musk reiterated that autonomous driving technology will be safer than human driving, all supported by robust computational power.
