Xiaopeng Motors CEO He Xiaopeng warmly welcomed Tesla's rollout of FSD in China via a WeChat post. He believes this will foster greater exchange and advancement within the entire intelligent driving industry.
He Xiaopeng revealed that in the first half of this year, Xiaopeng Motors aims for a comprehensive comparison with the world's best advanced intelligent driving capabilities, encompassing functionality, performance, safety, and coverage, striving for leading positions in both China and globally. He emphasized that Xiaopeng and Tesla are the only two AI technology companies globally to have pioneered the application and mass production of end-to-end large model technology in intelligent driving, and are uniquely capable of achieving intelligent driving that works globally with a single software solution, without relying on high-definition maps or lidar.
Regarding the global promotion of advanced intelligent driving, He Xiaopeng stated that he believes standard basic hardware, free software, and frequent OTA updates are key to achieving this goal. Xiaopeng Motors has achieved this globally for the first time with the Xiaopeng P7+, launched in November 2024. He believes technological equality will lead more and more users to appreciate and rely on intelligent driving.
Furthermore, He Xiaopeng also revealed that Xiaopeng's Turing AI intelligent driving system will begin global R&D and testing in 2025. He hopes that with the relaxation of overseas regulations, Xiaopeng's Turing AI intelligent driving system can be brought to global users in 2026-2027.
