According to Qichacha APP, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. recently published a patent for "a method and apparatus for generating an AI model." The Qichacha patent abstract shows that this patent relates to the field of artificial intelligence technology and can improve the efficiency of generating AI models and reduce resource consumption to a certain extent.
The method includes: a first processor constructing a target optimization function with operation instruction information as the optimization variable based on the execution time of each operator in multiple operators of the AI model, the memory occupancy size of the second memory of the second processor during the operation of each operator, and the memory unloading time; globally optimizing the target optimization function to obtain operation instruction information indicating whether to perform a target operation on each of the multiple operators, the target operation including recomputation operation or memory unloading operation; and sending an adjustment instruction including the operation instruction information to the second processor to instruct the second processor to execute multiple operators according to the operation instruction information to train the AI model to obtain the target AI model.
