Today, Claude Max officially launched on the Cursor platform. This new AI model, based on Claude 3.7, brings revolutionary breakthroughs, especially demonstrating exceptional capabilities in handling large-scale code projects.

Reportedly, Claude Max is powered by the latest Claude 3.7 engine, boasting not only higher intelligence but also enhanced creativity. It can provide innovative solutions where other models fail. Its groundbreaking support for a massive 200,000-word context allows developers to load entire project code at once, with model performance improving as the context size increases.

The tool call limit has been increased to 200, enabling it to edit, analyze, and optimize entire codebases at once, eliminating the need for step-by-step processing. Its significantly improved code comprehension allows it to understand large amounts of code at once, deeply grasping the code structure, reducing unnecessary tool calls, and boosting efficiency.

However, Claude Max uses a pay-as-you-go model, charging $0.05 per prompt and $0.05 per tool call. Using the full 200 tool call limit could cost $10 per operation, making it unsuitable for everyday use by average users.

Claude Max is primarily suited for professional developers handling extremely large and complex projects, advanced users seeking high-precision code editing, and users with sufficient budget who want to experience top-tier AI capabilities. It's worth noting that for over 90% of everyday code editing tasks, Cursor's standard models are sufficient. Claude Max is not included in the basic Pro package and requires activating the "pay-as-you-go" mode separately.
