Attention Samsung fans! The tech giant has officially announced the arrival of One UI 7, its latest mobile operating system based on Android 15. The global rollout begins April 7th for existing phones and tablets. US users will receive the update slightly later, starting April 10th.
In the US, the first to experience One UI 7 will be Samsung's 2024 flagship Galaxy S24 series, along with the highly anticipated Fold6 and Flip6 foldable phones. Following this, the update will gradually roll out to the S23 series, S24 FE and S23 FE, previous generation Fold5 and Flip5 foldables, and the Tab S10 and S9 series tablets.
Beyond upgrading to the latest Android 15 and incorporating some interface refinements, One UI 7 heavily focuses on deep AI integration. Most notably, it features deeper Google Gemini integration. Gemini becomes the default smart assistant, supporting cross-app functionality. A natural language search function has been added to the phone's settings app, and the lock screen's Now Bar now includes dynamic widgets. Samsung's own AI tools have also received performance improvements, and a powerful new feature called "Audio Eraser" has been added to effectively eliminate various types of noise from videos.
It's worth noting that One UI 7 actually debuted earlier this year on flagship models like the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra (released in February), and was also included on Samsung's entry-level Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 models released earlier this month.
The core of this One UI 7 update is undoubtedly its powerful AI features, signaling Samsung's further embrace of artificial intelligence to deliver a smarter and more convenient user experience. Samsung users, check if your device model is on the initial update list and get ready for this AI-powered system upgrade!
