According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to integrate cameras into its Apple Watch. This camera would allow the Apple Watch to visually observe the user's surroundings and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to provide relevant information.

Reportedly, Apple may add cameras to both its standard and Ultra series watches. The standard series watches would have the camera embedded in the display, similar to the iPhone's front-facing camera. The Apple Watch Ultra, however, is expected to have a camera lens on the side near the crown and buttons.

Bloomberg previously reported that Apple is also considering adding cameras to its AirPods to help users better understand their surroundings and enhance AI functionality.

Despite Apple's new ventures into AI technology, the company faces challenges. A few weeks ago, Apple announced the delay of a more personalized Siri voice assistant until 2026. Last month, it was reported that Apple is struggling to resolve numerous bugs and engineering issues with Siri.

Recent reports indicate changes within Apple's AI team. Mike Rockwell, the founder of Apple's vision products, will replace John Giannandrea as the new head of AI. Reports suggest that Apple CEO Tim Cook lost confidence in Giannandrea's product development capabilities.

Furthermore, Apple is facing a lawsuit alleging false advertising of its Apple Intelligence features. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, seeks class-action status and financial compensation for iPhone users who purchased devices with Apple Intelligence features.

Last year, Apple faced criticism for generating inaccurate AI news summaries, particularly from BBC News. Recently, Apple issued a statement that it will release updates to address these issues.

Meanwhile, many social media users have expressed dissatisfaction with Apple Intelligence. Some features are noticeably behind those found on competing smartphones from companies like Samsung. Aditya Agarwal, a partner at South Park Commons, tweeted on X: "I don't know how it's possible, but Siri feels worse after the launch of Apple Intelligence."

In a survey conducted by Sellcell, 73% of iPhone users stated that the AI features offered little to no value.
