Autonomous truck company TuSimple has announced its completion of a transformation, officially rebranding as CreateAI and shifting its focus toward the generative AI field, including animation and game development. This rebranding signifies TuSimple's departure from the autonomous trucking business and its entry into a new arena. TuSimple's transformation comes at a time of ongoing turmoil for the company. Previously, the company exited the stock market in January 2024 and closed its U.S. autonomous trucking operations, transferring the remaining assets to China to fund the new business.

According to data from the Tokyo Bureau of Cultural Affairs, there are currently at least 1,000 websites illegally offering free downloads of Japanese manga and animation. These sites are accused of causing losses of billions of dollars to Japan's cultural industry each year. To address this issue, the Japanese government has proposed a pilot program totaling 300 million yen (approximately 2 million USD). This program will implement an image and text detection system, leveraging artificial intelligence technology to surveil the internet.
